Maxim Poirier, AKA FISE, started his creative career in music. He always had an eye for visual art but it wasn't until he had his first EP to release that he made the decision to jump into the world of CG and Visuals. Before he actually decided to do visuals himself, he contacted as many artists as he could, explaining to them his vision for his EP's visuals. All of the CG Artists came back with quotes well above what any starting/intermediate artist can afford for a very simple concept. In shock of the ridiculous pricing, FISE decided to spend a few years focusing only on visual creation and then made the EP visual himself.
The other issue FISE saw in hiring another visual artist was that they had next to no knowledge on music patterns, push and pulls, music theory, etc and most of them weren't even really fans of Electronic Music, and so they didn't share the same excitement he did for his art. From his own brand projects FISE received many offers to work on projects for other artists. That's when FISE decided to start X CVLT.
